Blender Airshows

Factory certified Pitts S2B affectionately called the BLENDER.

This aircraft came to Canada brand new in 1985. At that time it was black and gold and was owned and piloted by Al Hauff as part of the Ray Ban Gold Aerobatic team. When they disbanded Bill Carter bought the plane and had it painted red. Bill flew air shows for several years before selling the aircraft to Jim Hyrmack. Jim, being a retired military pilot, also performed at air shows but soon found a Harvard that he wanted so the Pitts was sold to Eric Hansen (Eric is presently ½ of Team Rocket with Ken Fowler being the other ½).

Ron purchased this Pitts from Eric and was delighted to get a machine with such an incredible history. It has been all over North America and as far away as New Orleans. Throughout its life the maintenance has been impeccable and it shows. Eric made some improvements by adding a three blade MT composite propeller and custom exhaust thus increasing performance considerably over a stock Pitts S2B.
